About NOMAD Sea Kayaking

For over 21 years, NOMAD Sea Kayaking has delivered professional sea kayaking trips, coaching, outdoor learning and fieldcraft experiences across Suffolk, Essex and East Anglia.

We are proud of our 100% safety record on the water. Every trip, course and event is built around sound judgement, careful planning, practical skill and real experience gained over more than two decades working in coastal environments.

Our background is sea kayaking, but our work has always been about more than paddling. It is about reading weather, tide, wildlife, landscape and people. That fieldcraft has shaped everything we do.

Today, NOMAD continues to offer practical outdoor learning, tailored 1-2-1 sea kayak coaching and training courses from beginner to advanced.

Whether you're learning new skills or developing established, you are in safe, experienced hands.

Meet your coach: Kurt

Kurt has spent more than 21 years as a professional sea kayak coach & lead guide in UK coastal waters, with a 100% clean safety record. He is British Canoe Union 5 Star and International Sea Kayak Guide Association (ISKGA) trained.

His coaching is methodical, patient & direct. He leads from the front & sets the standard by example.

His first priority is simple: that you leave able to look after yourself on the water, including recovering from a capsize. Everything else is built on that.

His training principle: 'train hard, paddle easy'. Put the work in during training, and your paddling becomes calmer, safer & more enjoyable.
